WHO WE ARE
Production Company Image Boulevard specializes in art direction, photography and graphic design for fashion and lifestyle content. At the helm of the company is Iris Rombouts with 27 years of experience. Over those years, she has put her stamp on the Belgium media landscape with the designing of important magazines, such as ELLE magazine Belgium – Belgique, Feeling, Feeling Wonen, Gael Maison, Knack Weekend and Nina Magazine.

WHAT WE DO
Over the last eleven years, we have realised numerous productions for Image Boulevard, always starting from scratch, always ending with a fully crafted end product. Be it art direction, graphic design or fashion production with the emphasis on photography, we always insist on a close, transparent cooperation with the client.

Very Important Pixels is a fresh brand that features iconic pixel portraits on fashionable tops and sweaters. Inspired by 80s video games, Belgian designer Kristof Saelen has developed an original and unique style in which he handcrafts his works pixel by pixel

Very Important Pixels™ is a series of illustrations inspired by icons from the past and present. Each pixel portrait has been manually crafted starting from a blank canvas.

A selected collection of works was featured on apparel and other fashionable merchandise and got picked up by world-renowned boutiques such as Kitson (LA), Patricia Field (NYC), Colette (Paris), Spectrum (Milan), Venturer (Tokyo) and many more. Online prominent mentions and interviews include features on Wired, El País (Spain), My Modern Met and numerous blogs and papers. T-shirts and merch are still available online.

Frieda Degeyter studied Fashion Design at the Royal Academy of fine arts in Antwerp, Belgium.
From 1993 till now she worked for several labels.
In 1997 she launched her own collection.
At the moment she is still creating and working on different projects.

After graduating in Graphic Design in Antwerp in 1995, Barbara has been working for several years for Belgium based magazines.
Since 2001, she attends an open ceramics studio near Breda where she has further developed her interest for object design.

I am a Belgian designer and artist, originally educated in fashion design (Royal Academy Antwerp). For many years I have been employed in the fashion industry and related fields. Gradually I started focusing more on the graphic and experimental side of my work and at the same time I limited my fashionwork to the knitwear medium.

A few years ago I started a ‘made to order’ knitwear collection, recently available at the Comme des Garçons store “Trading Museum” in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to the knitwear I make drawings, graphic artworks and objects using different media such as black indian ink, colored markers, cardboard, b and w photocopy, acrylic colors, etc. In the past years I have developed a body of work in which applied and autonomous art coexist. I mainly find inspiration in (conflicting) daily life situations. In all my work I try to maintain a graphical language that is bold, simple, brute, witty and straightforward .

My goal for the near future is to further develop this graphic style and aesthetic in self-initiated or commissioned projects (surface pattern design, editorial illustration, artprojects, limited editions, graphic novels…). I welcome the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations or assignments with companies who feel they are a good fit for my style and aesthetic
