The bow tie: a passé piece of fabric? Not according to Isabel Naesens, the designer behind the novel bow tie label ‘Comme les loups’. This young architect makes inventive bow ties for dapper gents.
Each bow tie is part of a limited collection with unique fabrics, selected with the utmost care. Every model is designed and made by hand in Belgium. The bow ties receive a name and quote, thus characterizing their personality.
Besides the extensive collection, ‘Comme les loups’ offers a custom made service, where the client may choose any fabric, model or size to create a truly personal bow tie.
Why would an architect start designing bow ties? When Isabel couldn’t find the ideal bow tie for her boyfriend to attend a wedding, she decided to make one herself. The first orders were placed on said wedding, and haven’t stopped since.
Her initial collection debuted in an Antwerp pop-up shop and was discovered by Belgian tailors, ‘Café Costume’. Both parties started a fruitful collaboration with a number of exclusive collections as a result.
